The term being 'in state' is a big thing in the PUA community, it basically means to be in a good state of mind to be able to approach and talk to women (and people). The importance and talk of it is massive in the PUA world, some believe it is all you need to get any girl you desire, some believe it doesnt exist.
As i have said before, your communication skills are like muscles, the more you use them ,the better they get. The less you use them the worse thery get. Typically most PUA's are loner's; men who for most of their lives havent had too many friends and keep to themselves. This translates to us as meaning that if they dont use their communication skills that much, then for them to get into a steady flow of having them ready to use is harder than someone who is constantly surrounded by people and talking all day long. I always find that if i am out in the day and night, my brain works alot better than if i was just out in the night. Its that simple, you use your brain more, it becomes more efficient and ready to use.
You see being in state does exist, but it doesnt. We are naturally meant to interact with people around us most of the time. Therefore it is unnatural for us to not and to be someone who doesnt. Being in state only exists because it is an unnatural thing.
The main point i wanted to make is that PUA's talk alot about needing to be in state because even when they are getting good with women, they still do not improve other aspects of their social life too much. They may still be that geeky guy who is a social recluse and doesnt have too many friends. How you are in your day to day life will be a reflection of how you are with women.Well....most of the time. Some rare cases are possible. This basically means that for you to be in state all the time, you need to make sure you spend most of your days talking face to face with different people. Do what i do, go and chat to random people where ever you go, it doesnt matter where it is. Yesterday i met so many different people; street magicians preaching about Jesus, Office workers in an office i was in, people standing in line with me to buy my lottery ticket and a 50 year old jamaican cashier lady at Asda. Then the most random has to be a gay guy in a wheelchair called Mark who was choreographing a performance the next day in town and invited me to come along, lovely guy. So when it got to the night, i was on fire.
Alot of people who arent even Personal Developers do this anyway and dont realise how powerful it is. But now that you know the power it has you can do it consciously. You will be in state the entire time. Remember.....being in state is a natural thing, it is a good state of mind that you should always be in.
Make a new routine of just talking to new people wherever you go. Start off with 5 a day for a week. See how it goes. See if there are any changes in your behaviour in other areas of your life. Let me know.
