Is the pick up artist community becoming mainstream? It's a debate that I have often with my friends that are into this stuff.
On one hand, there have been half dozen books published on the subject, starting with Neil Strauss' The Game, as well as two seasons of VH1's The Pickup Artist and several movies in the works. There are now dozens of pickup companies teaching bootcamps in hundreds of cities around the world.
On the other hand, the seduction community remains somewhat underground, perhaps because the subject matter can be embarrassing and controversial. More guys than ever have at least heard about the community, but few are willing to admit that they follow any of this stuff, and fewer still take the plunge and fully commit to becoming better with women.
So what do you think? Is the PUA community and the lessons learned about how dating and seduction really work becoming more mainstream, or is it destined to languish in the less frequented corners of the Internet?
