How long have you been in the community and how did you first come into it?
I have officially been in the 'community' for around 3 years, although I was gaming prior to that, experimenting, and trying out techniques with trial and error. In the beginning, I had mediocre results, yet I forced myself to approach. I underwent an intense period of self-discovery and research into understanding the mystery of the female mind, and what makes a man attractive. I went out with naturals, and studied their behaviour, analysing every aspect of their interactions. I finally read the 'Game', and realised that there was an online community, which I found after some investigation.
What is the most positive aspect you see about the community?
Learning that they are valued, their elevated place in society, and showing guys that there are others out there who are like them, and are willing to work together in order to improve ourselves and our personalities, which can not only help in romance, but also in business, personal life, conflict management and improving overall confidence and ability to deal with new situations and social pressure.
What is the most negative?
The bitchiness and small-mindedness that can sometimes go on in forums, which should be avoided. Also, the danger of becoming 'mindless clones', getting lost in 'routines and 'techniques', when you should be aiming to become the best version of you, and ingratiate pickup with your personality.
Why did you choose the name IceDragon?
IceDragon is my well-earned, highly respected industry name. I called myself IceDragon, firstly due to my interest in Eastern Philosophy, and secondly, because I have one specialty. As a dragon uses fire from his mouth to annihilate anything that stands in it's way, similarly The IceDragon's Mission: "To help subjugated men melt the Ice block around vivacious women through their linguistic skills and arous the sleeping sexy Goddess that resides within it" - It's a man's most basic right.
Your latest book, “Real Attraction Secrets”, has been long anticipated in the community, what was the most challenging aspect in putting this information together?
This book is a culmination of years of research, and finding out what actually works, minus the 'fluff' and 'fillers' you see in most seduction books. The most challenging aspect was undoubtedly to make it practical and workable, because if I wanted to, I could have made it ten times as long, with all the theory that is in my head. I wanted to create something special, something you could go out and do tonight for example, rather than waiting till you have done 3,000 approaches, doing laborious and unproductive drills. There is no need to do further bootcamps with this method, and the aim is to make the method a part of who you are.
And the most rewarding?
The most rewarding was the kind reviews I got from guys such as yourself, David X, Soul (Lovesystems), Savoy, Tom Burke, etc. Once I had 'industry approval', only then I considered releasing it.
With all the information that is already out there, what is one aspect that this book really gets in depth on that you feel is not really available anywhere else?
This community is saturated with seduction information, and I am vehemently against adding to the 'mess'. The industry needs to be cleaned up and taught as a complete picture, rather than feeding guys random pieces of a jigsaw and asking them to complete the puzzle. Life is a conundrum as it is, and community guys expect us to make things simpler. Most information out there is reasonably good, but lack crucial 'x-factor' element that can transform your entire game, from the ground up. Think of my book as going the extra step, and uncovering the simple (but hidden) road 'links' that make everything connect together.
There are many great methods out there, but the difference between me and others is that my mastery lies in the transference of skill, similar to the way I teach my martial arts students.
With most of your students, what is there biggest sticking point?
A lack of core self-esteem and an artificial belief (perpetuated by many of today's 'seduction' gurus) that they have to hide behind some kind of 'game', as they are not worthy. Sticking points are artificially created by the industry, so that the students (I hate the term 'AFC') will become dependent on life-long learning from the Guru, thus perpetually lining his pockets.
The hallmark of a great teacher is that his students become better than him, not continously keep the teacher on a pedestal. If that is the case, then the student is being held back.
Your book warns against being a “Saturday Night Pickup Artist”, I've seen this phenomena many times myself. Yet some guys work long hours in secluded settings during the week. What are some tips that any guy can do to keep their natural game going throughout the daily grind?
It was never a game. If a guy is working long hours in seclusion, leave the office for a lunch break, walk down the mall to get a sandwich, and chat to people. Yeah women too, but get into the habit of making small talk with random strangers, think of it as cultivating your social intelligence. Use it or lose it. Simple as that. It's hardly rocket science. I can actually sense many guys cringing at doing this, but human interaction is the only way to go, browsing seduction forums is not the same thing. What's better than getting a couple of phone numbers during the day, and arranging coffee dates that night? Much better than staring at a computer screen for twelve hours a day.
You're book also warns against a common over-reliance on routines and “gambits”. I think this is a common point, lately I've been taking it to extremes and going back the “Hi, I'm______” and move right into transition without an opener. Do you have any tips for some basic ways of opening without a scripted routine?
"Hi I'm . . . . " Is perfect. Why would you say something else? The girl is already attracted to you, believe that and you can get away with anything. Routines suck, unless you're still at the training stage, which means the thought of speaking to a pair of tits and a pussy scares the living daylights out of you.
Do you have a favorite opener?
I use 'Hi'. For my beginning students, I would recommend 'Quick question. Should a guy phone or text a girl, after she gives him her number?' Guaranteed to get a guy in a fun conversation. Never seen this fail yet.
What Pickup Artists have inspired you the most?
Soul, Mr M, AFC Adam, Tenmagnet, Masters, Cajun, Sheriff, London Playboy, James DeMarco . . . the list is endless.
With the explosion of the PUA Community recently and so much public and media exposure to the game and pickup artist techniques, do you think it will have any effect on the community, and where do you think the game will be 5 years from now?
There is going to be an implosion, after the explosion. The sun will die, and become a black dwarf. The game is changing, and it has changed in living memory. Guys are no longer 'one method devotees', and are more willing to experiment, 'crosstrain' to use a martial arts expression. Even the book 'The Game', is now obsolete, and no-one would seriously consider using the techniques mentioned in there. In five years . . . the mediocre will fall by the wayside, and the cream will rise to the top, with powerful, undetectable game. That is true game. Undetectable, invisible, powerful. Overall, there will be less PUAs, but the quality will be much higher.
