I'm posting on this old thread because of question six (6). Questions 1-5 haven't changed much since sept.
1. Duluth, MN
2. 22
3. On and off for about 1.5 years
4. lifestyle, nightlife, music, exetreme sports, reading/writing
5. Completed A.A. :-) Working toward 4 year and starting a business
6. I started class here in Duluth yesterday. As good fortune had it, a real cutie HB8 sat next to me. Needless to say, I didn't land the number. Even worse, I didn't even attempt a number close. No true
IOIs. Technically one
IOI, she opened me, but I don't think it counts if all she had to say was, "I'll need some coffee for this class next time." I don't count that, because it's only polite to say one or two things to the person you're sitting next to.
Today, I had a kinda cute curly haired girl sitting next to me. Okay, maybe she was like a 6. We wrote a couple notes back and forth on my notebook, had a couple giggles, whatever.
After class, as we were getting up, I said to her, "hey, I have two quick questions for you."
"Okay," she said.
me: "First thing, where is the bookstore. I just moved here and idk where anything in this school is." I asked her mainly to guage her self-esteem.
curly: "blah blah blah blah" average selfesteem
As I was about to ask my second question (a really simple "what's your name?" followed by her saying "Curly," and then me saying, "Curly, thanks for the directions," and making a bad ass exit) She blew me out. Straight up turned her back and walked away. I made emphasis on the fact that I was asking two questions. I clearly got shot down. And then something happened.
EPIPHANY TIME!!!! I've been in a new city for more than two weeks and I haven't had a single number close, excluding a coworker hb7 that I almost hooked up with while drunk. The epiphany I had today was that I'm not playing the game right. No closes in a new city and curly6 blows me out.
Please accept this as my reintroduction to the forum. I will be reading tons of threads and participating in the forum to improve my game and possibly help others with what I have learned. Thanks!
